This role will assist in establishing and maintaining a harmonious classroom both inside and outside. Our ideal candidate loves working with children, is a curious learner and is willing to commit to Montessori training and philosophy. This is a great opportunity for someone who would like to get into teaching and earn hours and experience while getting Montessori training.

Benefits

Flexible half-day hours- ideal for university students. (7:45-12:15pm) (12:15-3:45) (3:15-5:15pm)

or full-day 7:45-3:45

This position will have the potential to transition into a part-time or full-time teaching position. There will also be professional development and training opportunities available to substitutes to continue towards certification and education training.

For emergency day sign-ups (within 24-hours), the substitute teacher will receive an emergency one-time bonus for that day in addition to pay of $15.00/per hour.

 Job Responsibilities
Working in close collaboration with the Lead Teacher and other teaching staff:

·       Guides, monitors, and supervises children using Montessori techniques and training

·       Maintain ongoing, open communication with parents, guardians, and caregivers

·       Possesses a love of learning and playing

·       Maintains student well-being and safety

·       Promotes and celebrates diversity, equity, and inclusion

·       Participates in staff meetings
